Dr. Howard Adams
President & CEO
Howie is a TPC co-founder and also serves as a Volunteer Coach. After a 38-year career in dentistry, Howie now devotes most of his time and talents to volunteer organizations that benefit the Tucson community.
Howie is a graduate of Newfield Network’s coach training program, which is accredited by the International Coach Federation.
Wesley Ward, Ph.D.
Vice-President
Wes is a retired federal senior executive. In his last position, he served as the US government’s chief geologist for the western United States, overseeing federal geologic activities, employees and budgets in nine states. Wes also served as Geology Team Leader on the Mars Pathfinder mission and has appeared on National Public Radio, the Discovery Channel, and Japanese television.
Wes has been a Touch Point Connection Volunteer Coach since TPC’s start in Tucson. He has a long history of volunteerism, especially with educational and youth-serving organizations.
Sandy Spiewak, LMFT
Secretary
Sandy was the Counseling Department Chair at Amphitheater High School. Sandy served as the initial school liaison for TPC’s work there, helping to design and run the initial pilot programs. Sandy is recently retired and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, specializing in adolescents and their families.
Joan Hillebrand Martin
Treasurer
Joan is founder of TPC and formerly served as TPC’s Executive Director and Director of Coaching. Joan is a 2002 graduate of New Ventures West, a coach training school accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a member of both the ICF and Tucson’s ICF Chapter, and previously served on the executive board of the Puget Sound ICF Chapter.
Joan has expertise in executive coaching and consulting to support organizational reform, leadership, and teamwork. Her focus is on both individual development and organizational systems change. Joan has worked with school districts, corporations, and the government. Her educational reform involvement began in 1993 when she helped create a high-tech alternative high school in Florida. Her work in educational reform also includes coaching and consulting for school districts in the Seattle area. Her early career was in marketing and organizational communications.
Staff
Suzanne Ellenbogen
Business Manager
Suzanne, a TPC co-founder, graduated in 2006 from the Hudson Institute, an ICF-accredited coach training school. She is a member of the International Coach Federation.
Suzanne is also an accountant and has worked in finance and business for 30 years, 20 years as the owner of an accounting and business consulting practice where she helped guide business and nonprofit clients.
Suzanne was a member of TPC’s original “construction crew,” previously served as a Board Member and Coach Manager, and continues to serve as a Volunteer Coach and TPC’s Business Manager.
Tishura Stockdale
Program Assistant
Tishura works closely with staff, board members, and volunteers to manage communications, collect program data, and provide support wherever it is needed. She brings Touch Point Connection her expertise in technology, project management, process tracking, training, and business administration.
Tishura originally joined TPC while living in Tucson. She now works “virtually” after relocating to Florida.
Becky Swivel
Projects Coordinator & Engagement Manager
Becky brings her experience in non-profit development to support Touch Point in a variety of capacities, including fundraising, project management, and community and volunteer engagement.
As a future secondary education teacher, Becky has a personal interest and passion for enhancing student achievement and reducing high school dropout rates.
